Still here...

Wed Sep 2, 2009, 1:47 PM
I see it's been a really long time since I've updated here. I'm still floating around here and have a bit of new art to post in the near future. I did finally finish up my book project last spring - you can see a couple of the finished pages here if you're interested: [link]

I also have a huge back-log of messages to go through, so if I haven't replied anyone - sorry! I'll get through them eventually...

And a whole bunch of thank-yous for various journal features since, oh my, as far back as last November:

I was gonna comment on each pic about how awesome they were, but figured just telling you here would save us both some time-YOU ARE FREAKIN AWESOME!!! I love your work...the animals kinda remind me of Redwall or those old Adventure books by Thorton Burgess (Peter Rabbit short novels). Keep up the good work!

Your works remind me so much of a book series... Redwall, by Brian Jacques...
You ever heard of it?

Honestly, I'm in awe of such amazing talent...

Picasso got it wrong this time. I guess the real key is to find a way of not growing up in the first place.

Yes, I know the series. Though I've only read the first book in the series. Many people have said the same thing - which is funny to me since I haven't really gotten hooked on the series as of yet. However I am a big fan of the illustrator Christopher Denise, who among other books, happened to illustrate the Redwall picture books - [link]

Thanks very much for the :+fav: & watch and your kind words! :)

Ah, okay. Well anyways, I love your stuff. A lot of people I know seem to find Redwall boring, but it's not once you read on in the book. I've read most of the books, and it's great to be reminded of them again.

Keep up the great work!
