Daily Deviation, 2007-09-04

Daily Deviation'Cherry-picking Mice' by ~Red-Clover could perfectly be an awarded illustration for a storybook. The smooth colors, the detailed background, and also the unique features of both characters, turn this picture not only in a personal favourite for ~Red-Clover but also in a piece deserving a Daily Deviation today. heh, ever heard of the Redwall series by Brian Jacques? this reminds me of that a lot. Great piece, I love it!
Very Redwall-esque!
This one is really exciting.
I know it because excitement went through me at the very first look I've taken of it.
You don't even know yet why it excites you, but the excitement is sure there...

Now I can think about why it got me excited:
The colors are amazing, the perfect cherries, so round glossy and tasty!
I can really taste them, even tough I'm not such a cherry fan, they really look so tasty to me...
The older mouse looks like a cherry master who explains the art of cherry picking to his student. If you need a cherry master to teach you the delicate art of cherry picking, then I guess it isn't such a simple task : )

I think it's an amazing piece, and one of my favorites in your gallery.
Your gallery is absolutely amazing on its whole.
I'm in love with your drawings, and I think I'm in love with you for drawing such great drawings, which really get to my heart : )
It's lovely! It reminds me of charming children's books that I would've wanted never to end...This drawing is so full of life and yet delicate and dreamy, and such innocent joy bursts from every stroke of colour, I really am in awe. I love the expression on the young mouse's face; they seem to be having such a wonderful time, I'd love to be cherry-picking with them right now! The whole scene is so alive with colour and joy. You have a lovely gallery, it's really cheered me up stopping by :)

You did a really good job with the expressions and the lighting/shading. I like the relaxed feeling this piece gives me. Beautiful job!

No good with words! I'd rather draw... :)
I love it! It's cute and the colors are so strong but yet not overwhelming. I love it (again)
